500cc Grand Prix Motorcycles: The 2-Stroke Era, A Photographic Tribute

500cc Grand Prix Motorcycles: The 2-Stroke Era, A Photographic Tribute showcases the 500cc two-stroke motorcycle era through the work of legendary motorcycle photographer, Phil Aynsley. Phil has spent four decades photographing bikes in the UK, Europe, the United States and Australia chasing the motorsport thrill and documenting some of the rarest and most famous, beautiful and iconic machines ever created. This includes the never-to-be-forgotten 500cc two-stroke racing motorcycles.

What we did

Book design and layout of mock-ups, supporting videos, copywriting for Kickstarter page, social media strategy, creation and implementation.

500cc Grand Prix Motorcycles, a photographic tribute

The era of the 500s has been replaced by today’s ultra-refined four-strokes—beautiful machines but lacking that edgy danger associated with the two-stroke bikes. We will never again see the like of these treacherous mounts, that produced such awe-inspiring riding.

500cc Grand Prix Motorcycles: The 2-Stroke Era, A Photographic Tribute is the first photographic book to specifically commemorate that era—an era that will never be repeated—but remains one of the most exciting and competitive eras of motorcycle racing of all time.

Kickstarter films and brand videos

Working closely with motorcycle photographer, Phil Aynsley we created three Kickstarter films and brand videos for the campaign. Each film featured stunning 500cc motorbikes from this era of racing.
